The movie A Nightmare on Elm Street made it's debut in theaters on November 9, 1984. And it's budget was $1.8 million. And Johnny Depp made his film debut in this movie.
The story starts off with a young 15 year-old Tina Gray having a nightmare of a killer with a glove with razor bladed fingers. When she asks her friends to stay at her house she has the nightmare again is brutally clawed and dies. Now her friend Nancy Thompson (Heather Lagenkamp) the protagonist of the story starts having nightmares to of the same killer. And her mother tells her the secret of Fred "Freddy" Krueger (Robert Englund) and how he was a child murderer and how they killed him. Now Nancy decides that now is the time to fight back.
Now I think this is a great story and the idea of a killer with a razor bladed glove for his weapon great idea. I rate this movie 10 out of 10. My favorite kill was when Freddy killed Tina by dragging her bloody body on the wall. If you're a horror movie fan and haven't watched this, watch it!
